In order to register a company in the Czech Republic you will need to:
- Obtain a police clearance certificate and its translation, if needed
- Register the legal address of the company
- Open a bank account
- Deposit the share capital
- Choose the company’s name
- Pay statutory and administrative fees
Any entrepreneur starting their business in the Czech Republic must comply with all relevant legal provisions and regulations, pay taxes on time, undergo regular inspections and audits, and also annually submit financial statements to the state authorities.
To establish an individual entrepreneurship (živnostenský list) in the Czech Republic, you must:
- Obtain a police clearance certificate and its certified translation, if needed
- Register a legal address in the Czech Republic (can be registered at a commercial or residential property)
- Provide the documents required for residence in the Czech Republic, if needed (long-term visa, biometric card or temporary visa while waiting for a long term visa)
- Submit all the required documents to the Trade Licensing Office (živnostenský úřad)
- Obtain an education certificate (if relevant)
- Register at the Tax Office, Social Security Administration, and an insurance company
An individual entrepreneurship of foreigners is considered active until the end of the official stay of an entrepreneur in the Czech Republic and can be terminated at any time.
